Steer Tube Length?

I need to know the correct steer tube length for a CWC Shockmaster boys springer fork. I'm cutting down a girls fork and my closest guess is 6 3/4". The measurement should be from the bottom of the lower bearing race to the top of the tube. The basic CWC fork measures 6 1/2" but I'm thinking that I need another 1/4" for the upper truss bracket.

If you can't get an answer here, try another fork from a different brand boys fork to make a reference. It might work.

That's with no race on the fork and the fork is a truss fork

Why don't you assemble the whole thing on the head tube and mark the spot to cut. No chance for error that way. Gary

Very good point! Sometimes it's easy to miss the obvious solutions.
