I just lucked into a 1976 Sting-ray Junior and don't know much about these bikes at all. What makes it a Junior? It's the same 20" wheels as the regular sting rays isn't it? Is the frame smaller?

This one is in fair condition, appears all original and complete except for the rear reflector. The seat is really faded and the original schwinn sting ray tires are cracked and a little dry rotted. The paint and chrome are ok, some scratches and surface rust.

How collectible are they and what is there ballpark value?

Thanks

the frame is more compact from front to back, often refered to as the "shorty" frame, value is tricky if it was cleaned up , tires were decent id ask $100-$150. just an opinion though

the besy way i found to tell if its a junior a junior or regular is sprocket size. the big sprockets on a regular wont fit a junior without rubbing on the frame.like mentioned above, they are more compact.as for value, there is one just like yours on my local cl for $25 in the same color. ive rarely seen juniors go above $100 unless they are super nice.remember, its only worth what someone will pay.
