Before is as I picked it up. After is after I detailed it and powder coated the frame, forks and chainguard. Still needs a few things. I snapped a picture for the viewing fans. I am trying to keep this original/NOS.

So that's what you've been doing the last few days, I've kept watching to see the frame posted, I guess I should've known with all your time you would be assembling it first. That is the first time I've seen a powdercoating paint job in person, Simply incredible

Wow!That's amazing, the results of the powder coating look pretty exceptional. Sharp!

I used to work at a powdercoating factory, and for anyone that isn't aware, you can get some AWESOME finishes with that stuff. Metallics look mad, like Onyx Black, and we also did brass finish and mirror chrome. Yes, even money-eating pokies (slotmachines, one arm bandits, etc) need to look cool, otherwise why would the old folks pour all their money into them???

And if I remember correctly, it isn't all that expensive to do, especially if it's just the frame...

Ya the finish for those of you that have never seen a powder coated frame up close..... O M G! It is smooth as glass and VERY durable. The cost for doing the frame, fork, chainguard with stripping was...... $150. Now normally I would just do it myself. For this bike (and im not very much into Schwinn) I am restoring to a showroom outcome. I dont want to bore anyone with the details... Let me know if you want me to send you some updated pictures as I progress and I will gladly do so. Im not a Schwinn Purist by nature... but the Stungrays have a place in my heart from Childhood!
