Re: Stingrays Only!

A Stingray that I put together for one of my daughters... I had her pick out the color she wanted.

'67 stingray that I added some late '70's stingray parts on... like the sturmey archer 3 speed rear.

Chrome Krate that I purchased off RRB quite recently. Newer frame but a lot of '70's Schwinn parts. The most chrome I have ever polished

Re: Stingrays Only!

i rember the chrome Krate posted up here.. You got it for a Steal too.. even though it wasnt a real schwinn frame but a newer lowrider frame its still a kick@ bike..
and has alot of vintage parts on it..

i almost bought it but i was broke and only had about half the cash at the time i was posted

its a sick bike..

i ended up later getting this yellow 5spd later on then.. its my daily rider now.. Rider/WIP need money to rebuild some good week  use it from going to and from school now :p

Re: Stingrays Only!

Yeah I couldn't pass it up... I have wanted a Krate for a long time but can't afford the crazy prices they go for so this will totally do till I can get a "real" one haha.

What about the not-so-iconic OCC StingRays???????

Well, they make great parts bikes; the front wheel and tire were put on the Manta Ray, the pedals are on the LongBike, the wheel nuts are on the BFK and the fenders and front fork are slated for use on future projects!

Those are some nice Rays. My buddy JB would love that violet Slik Chik. Not cus he likes girly things but cus he has a violet ray and that would be a cool bike for his wife. :D

Nothing special. Putting together something for my niece to enjoy. She chose the bars and all. Just need to fund a new seat as this one is broken hence how it looks. She wont ride until it is finished but its coming slong nicely.

Saw a 1964 complete in green with a green seat and green grips on my craigslist 2 days ago for 160.00. Did not have the money, so I just hoped it went to someone who wanted a nice bike and did not see $$$.

My 1977 Schwinn Tornado. All original, except for rear 1976 South Carolina license plate mounted where the rear reflector is supposed to be, and the front number plate. I painted the front plate up myself.

Hey Jeff, That's a cool bike, friend of mine just got one of these 5 spds a month ago same color too. I really like these cause they use the big rear tire.

I've got a few of 'em, everyone who visits me gets to see the collection as soon as they come in the door.

Here was the collection a few years ago:

And more recently, though I am in the way:

Here's a better pic:

Presently, in the house, there is a Jan '66 Coppertone Deluxe coaster, a Feb '66 violet Deluxe 3-speed, a '68 green Deluxe coaster, a 1970 Apple Krate, a pair of 1972 Lil Chik's in Burgundy, and a black 2007 BFK.

Working on this one, the never ending project: (1975 5-speed)

My first Stingray, now sold, 1972 red coaster Stingray:

There are lots more that I rebuilt, restored, and sold, including this 71 Grey Ghost:

I did ride it once before I sold it:

I think I would like to build another Bicentennial like this:

Have fun folks!
