I built these rim shelves. They hold them well, but they are always falling over.
I cut up an old broom stick in 2'' pieces and drilled a hole through them that would slide
over the axle easy. It solved the problem and now my rims stay straight. If you need
one just slide them over a little and pull off the wooden part and remove the rim.

Re: Storing Spare Rims

Wouldn't those be called "wheels" instead of "rims"? I wish I had that many extra to worry about. 8) Gary

Re: Storing Spare Rims

Great idea! Now if I can just find about 50 broom handles I'll have enough pieces to do all my wheels.

Wheels... rims...them round spokey things that go on bikes.
Hey Gordon if you go to lowes or some wood place they have long pieces of the wood stuff that goes in your
closet to hang your clothes on....maybe 2'' but it works good too. Or if your wife isn't looking just take the
one out of your spare closet.
