the intense NK2's are cool, they arent real high pressure tho, I doubt he wants 3" tires on a BMX.... if he wants to go fast , get him some 100 psi redlines or something like that.
 
I put some Tioga Powerblock tires on my old Pro Thunder. Best bike decision I made in a long time! Low rolling resistance, light-weight, and fast. I ride pavement (90%) and gravel (10%) all the time. Got 'em on a couple of bikes now and really enjoy them. Mine came from the LBS.
