Just curious...

That happened to the original Carter carb on your truck?...

...to make you wanna use an "ANTIQUE CARB" on it?

They used Strombergs on "everything" back in the day...Your linkage may/wont not line up.(not to mention fuel line.Non PVC carb, air filter etc.)

Yeah,Im a Carb Guy too.

Hey Out,Got a NUMBER off that Strom' ya got?

Its stamped or cast on there somewhere.I beleive on the back somewhere (base or the body)

I MAY be able to look it up and tell ya what yours is off of.

Gimme all the numbers you can find on it and where you found them.

The numbers should be a little bit more to the left.

Can ya get a clear shot of the whole back of the carb?

Mostly left hand side carb body. They should be straight up and down.

Now that ya posted a pic...

That is Not a post 1964 Mopar throttle shaft on that.

Bendix would make it a "later" carb...GM bought out Stromberg.

The more I look at yours, the more confused I get.

All 3 of mine (Huey,Dewey and Louie) had the choke coils on the throtle base shaft, not on the carb body like yours.

It looks like its missing something on the throtle side.Maybe a governor?

I gotta guess its some kind of Industrial carb...like off a forklift or a truck or a tractor.

Hey Out,THAT carb has really got me stumped!

And I dont give up a fight/challenge easily...but I gotta hoist up the white flag on that one.

Good Luck on the Sale.

Maybe the guys over at the H.A.M.B. would know more about it.

Were they all small and black?

Just messin' wit ya,I know you meant SMALL BLOCK.

Tell your "buddy" that I Start-Up my 500" Caddy engine with a small block chevy motor.(heh)
