We all seem to be in need of help with Sturmey Archers in this forum. LOL
I recently bought a 1960 Schwinn Corvette 3 speed. The shift cable is missing. I went looking around for one but there are a bunch of different lenghs and I'm a bit lost. :?
Does anybody know the cable length and casing length for this bike? Thanks, Spokes :D

you've hopefully got a fulcrum clip on the front of the crossbar, and i trust a pulley at the top of the seat tube - as in picture A below

the outer will only run from the trigger on the hadlebar to the fulcrum clip on the crossbar, so needs to be quite short. i couldn't possibly tell you the proper length, but with about the same amount of bulge as the brake cables have, just so the bars can turn without tightening it too much.

then the inner follows over the pulley down to the hub. following the instructions from this excellent instruction you should be able to work out the inner. you can move the fulcrum clip forward and back a bit to rough tune it, then use the barrel and lock nut on the indicator/toggle to fine tune it.

there's technical pages in the bottom link. do read them too
