I have this newer Huffy?? bike frame that I want to build into a rat. However, I want to find a cool and compatible front fork (not a Schwinn Springer) and a tank to fit the frame.

Any suggestions? Any one have the possible donor tank and/or fork for sale?

Thanks.

i say just go with a board tank cut out. unless your wanting lights or a horn, i think the tankboards are the way to go. higgins "beehive" springers are my favorites style-wise.

This is an older version of the frame you have......bikepartsusa.com for the springer.....about $39

I've got a bunch of different tanks over the years and have yet to come up with a "pre-made" one that would fit due to the spacing of the top tube and the cantilever bars. There's a bunch of posts on this site on how guys have made a "tank panel" that looks great. and if you're going to use this type of springer fork, fitting a tank lends to the tank getting dented when you turn tight. Monark springer fork might be a better way to go. I'll probably do that to this one down the road as I keep tweaking this bike all the time....it's one of my favorites.

This frame is more like yours....the difference being the seat post is more upright (less of an angle) than the earlier designed frames...your frame looks to have good room for a donor tank....
