They make some nice 1.5 tires nowadays, I have no idea if they might fit your rims. Can you still get those original size tires?

I found this on Sheldon Brown's page: "the Canadian 26 x 1 1/2 size-that's 571 mm."

F&S "J" and CCM "G" date codes confirm that she was born in 66.

This one nut wouldn't come off. the bearings are intact, cages in good shape. We'll see how they look after I clean them up, hopefully I can use them.

I think the chrome will polish right up too.

Seat is not so good.

I love the two tone to death, whatever happens, it must be blue and white, but this material is roached.

Pretty crusty underneath too, but I might be able to salvage the frame. I'm surprised the pan is plastic.

So I won't be taking them off. Stem will remain clamped down on the bar, I'll clean and shine em as they are

It's great to see you doing a "step-through" build!

A few days of grease, and sunny warmth, and the stuck axle nut came off like a charm.

I believe the last stuck fender bolts will provide the "Sparks" portion of the build. Gonna have to get those two with the Dremel. In the meanwhile, Sweet Marie keeps eyeing the other, younger girls she sees around the place...

Oh, I was going to comment on how I thought the C C M cut into the front sprocket was a great detail on this bike, but got caught up in the story of the song and candy bar and forgot to mention it!
