I'm trying to figure out what companies produced taller cruiser frames. As in 20, 22, 24 seat tubes. I don't like having my knees too bent when I ride, and at 6'1, I end up flying a lot of seat post. I've gathered that Emory made some bigger frames (mojave giant), as well as worksman, and Schwinn (though I can't remember the model for the Schwinn).
Hoping some folks here might have some info to point me in the right direction

I just want to compile a list for my future searches:dance2:
Any help would be rad! Thanks RRBers!

This 40's Rollfast is about 20".

solid 5/8" cold rolled steel post.

Ditto on the Rollfast. My Hawthorne badged Snyder (Rollfast) is 20".

Schwinn made a king size frame in the early 60's for the American and the Heavy Duty bikes. 2 years only if I recall right. 20" also.

Worksman had a larger frame advertised as 20" too.

The king size Schwinn is the only large cantilever I've ever seen. They are exactly the same as the regular Schwinn only bigger. The chain guard, if you have it, says king size, otherwise you'll have to measure the seat tube to know it's a king size.

True @Joaquin Suave !

There is some modern cruisers in more 'to scale' sizing. Especially in the BMX realm. I'm very aware of Cooks, and very not willing to pay what they command. I have a handful of 'strand' and bmx styled cruisers. I'm more interested in those of older and more classic appeal. I'm really stoked to see those Rollfasts posted. I was unaware of them coming in a larger (20) size. Same with the king sized canti Schwinns. I believe There was a Schwinn straight bar of pre/post was age that was larger too. I learned the name of the Emory (mojave giant) via a google image search that led back to RRB. Just trying to figure out models to search for in future hunts.

Good info on this thread.... i got a few things to add:

-Colson made a LWB version of their rainbow framewith a 20" seatpost.

-Emory made Mojave giants in at least 2 sizes.

-Prewar Schwinns of the late 30s tended to come in 16", 18", or 20"; this includes canti frames, straight-bars, double-curved roadsters, model C frames, and even some of the ladies' models. Even when comparing 18" frames, prewar Schwinns sat higher/taller b/c they had higher BB shells. Finding the bigger frames is difficult.

-Yes, Worksman makes the 20" m2600, but really, the top tup and headtbe and all measurements are the same between this and the standard INB; only differences are the taller seat tube, and the straight horizontal top-tube.

-Contemporary Husky industrial frames have 19" seat tubes.

-I have a 20" Trailmate 26" 3 bar cruiser with a 20" seat tube. No clue what they called the model.

There's probably more; the world of old American-style cruisers is pretty big and diverse.

Oh wow, a wealth of info!! Super stoked to hear there's 20" colson LWBs out there! I've been wanting one for awhile, but haven't gone for them when I see them as I figured they were 18". Thanks @Bicycle808 !! That link to the schwinn catalog opened up some new spots on the wanted list for sure!
