Very cool bike and nice writeup. My guess the excitement of the find will be much more than the excitement of the sell.

Yeah, it's hard to beat coming across a cool bike like this still new in the box.

There wasn't much involved to putting it together either....just stem, bars, grips, pedals and the seat.

I did have to adjust the rear wheel a bit because it wasn't installed straight.

Beautifully done bike , i had a opportunity to buy one a few years ago ,it had one minor scratch on it
for $ 500.oo but i already had a original and i was on my way too a bike swap , and was saving my
Benjamins ...they really did a Fantastic job on replicating every part on that bike...Including every
A.S. BOLT and Nuts intact..

p.s. STEVE don't forget to post a pic. in the Show me you Schwinn Fourm :wink1:

The thing that cracks me up are the folks on some of the social media channels that have posted negative comments about the bike. Some have just been clueless and assumed that this bike was a Chinese knock off. My guess is that they've never seen one in person. Other Schwinn purists just bad mouth it because it was made after Schwinn went bankrupt. I guess to them, nothing after the bankruptcy is legitimate. I can understand that to some degree, but to just write off a very nice replica based on that seems a bit shallow minded.

I've been trying to get in touch with the project manager for this bike on Facebook to see if he can give me anymore background on how it all went down.

Seems to me every thing that has the word "Replica" attached to it gets the negative vibe
to me just the fact that it exists has to taken into consideration, for a novice Collector or
or a well seasoned collector this is in fact a well thought out Built Bicycle ...
