Let me introduce you my new bike. It's not my built, but the works is enough cool to be saluted.

The idea was to go to the essentials. no bends, no convoluted shapes. just feeling.

first frame move :

The rear of the frame was modified, because this one was a little bit ugly.
So, the new rear tube and the seat tube showed the same angle as the fork. I like it better.

New move for the rear, the "original" X-country wheel plates were changed to custom plates :

Just some work to cutting them

The position is excellent. The fork works with a very reduced displacement (about 1 inch). It brings a bit of flexibility without "pump".
A new tube onto the frame was added for reinforcement.

new evolution : the tube under the crank has been replaced by a plate. and the frame receive a tank.

next evolution, a integrated suicide shifter to replace the genuine one.

Looked good until you added the tank, then you painted the tank and it looked good again!
You have a good eye for what works and what doesn't...;)

Luke.

Haha! That is exactly what I was thinking! I loved the straight backbone and then you added the tank, I thought, man you took a bad wrong turn! Once the tank was painted, it again took on the look of a hardtail Harley!
AWESOME

Great build! The whole finished product just flows with ease! I agree about the tank too. At first I didn't think it worked, but the aged Japanese paint job pulls it all together.
BRAVO!

Well...

During the Halloween cruise, something happened to my saddle...

I did the final 5 kms with my hoodie as a saddle of fortune...

So go back to the workshop, for a new saddle tube :

and we started to work on something better than the rotashifter for the nexus...
so from this :

The whole bike is turning out really nicely. Love the Japanese art on the tank and the shifter is really cool. What kind of Shifter handle are you doing? Brass knuckle or hand grande would be killer on it!

well, thanks everyone :)

I have no idea for the shifter handle, so I think it will just be with only handlebar tape (don't know the real word)

about the build, final part for the shifter
