Hi to all, this is my first thread on RRB, and the first bike I build from scratch :)

Named it the "Junk Pile 1.0" because that's it, a junk pile. All the pipes in the frame are recycled, I work as a plumber with my dad and used all the scrap metal we dismantled from old heating circuits :'D the lower tube is over 30 years old!

The head tube and fork, and the BB come from an old 24" child mtb I had at 11, as well as wheels, cranks, brake and headset. Nothing at all was spent on this bike, 0$ build. No plans, I went imaginatory.

The top tube had a 90° bend and was the only long enough piece I had, so here it comes another bend and voila the gooseneck LOL, and the handlebars were a 120cm piece I made the handles to, and then bent in half.

Saddle ad seatpost come from a 1984 road bike, and the lack of a matching diameter seat clamp is solved with two bolts running through the tube and clamping the seatpost. Easy peasy.
The bars were too small for normal grips so here comes some insulating foam and tape LOL

So here it was before paint:

I think I made a mistake in hiding the rust but one day I felt bored and went spray cans on it

With the HT angle it's a pain to drive at first, but when you get used it' really funny. The maiden voyage was an 8km trip and I came back with my ... and back destroyed for it's very small, would be ok for a 150cm guy but my 176cm feel a little shrinked riding it xD

I now plan on building another one, will be named the junk pile 2.0 and will use new pipes, bigger wheels and actually fit me riding it, but for a zero budget build I really enjoyed it.

That's all for now, thanks for looking!

I like the rough and ready look before paint better personally, though the blue looks pretty good too.
It has a nice tough design and I look forward to seeing Junkpile 2.0 that you build for yourself.
Welcome to RRB.
