ok normally when a reality tv show comes on i throw my remote at the tv and then begin my ranting of a few choice words that would make a sailor blush in shame..
however, i watched one that gave me an idea.
this show called cafe racer. they build cafe racer bikes and they look cool.
so upon polluting my already polluted and corrupt mind with this trash i came up with an idea for my Honda twin star.
gonna make it into a bobber.
however before i chop up my baby i decided to use my less desirable genesis 29 er as a guinea pig to see if i will like the bobber style.
so with true bobber fashion i removed anything that isn't required for performance. fenders water bottle chain guard and reflectors.
i then mounted my license plate on my seat clamp ( i have a thing for license plates on bikes can't leave it out)
i then swapped the bars with a pair of old 80's Murray bars which is basically a straight piece of pipe
but the most coolest thing i figured out how to do is actually have a functioning front caliper style brake on this thing.
i found a caliper that fits the oversized wheel and works good so i mounted it adjusted it and viola! i have brakes. now when my coaster brake hiccups and backpedals on me, i have a backup. no more hitting parked cars to stop for this guy
well now that im done rambling on i shall show you my build(if you wanna call it that i just call it a rolling junkpile)
here she is
the front brakes working as they should
we shall see how i like it. but i like how it looks
