Here it is, the combined build off thread for folks to post pictures of their entries and the progress. The rules are simple, it must be a Pedal Car, or a Wagon, or a Wheel Barrow. It must roll. It cannot be completed before you post it, we want to see the build. It's a 3 month build off starting Sept 1st CST and running til Dec 1st CST. Multiple entries are not allowed, but one swap out is. We're all in this thread together, I'll sort it all out at the end and create a voting thread. Have fun.

Carl.

My entry so far, no name no theme yet. Just a ratty wagon and some big wheels...

Thought I'd add to my post.
Got it up on sawhorses... Every nut bolt and fastener on this thing is rusted out. Was going to take it apart this morning but instead it's soaking in pBlaster...

I'll jump in with "Wagonator"...this old Sears wagon was given to my oldest son by my dad years ago. It even has some stickers that the kids added. At some point I replaced the the original rusted out wheels and undercarriage with some from a Radio Flyer which will get replaced again. The original wagon has spent its entire life outside in the elements. It served as our boys toy, hauled stuff, served as a workbench in building a deck and fencing and as a planter and yard art. It also served as a model for paint tests. It would be from around 1967.
Anyway here is a parts stash I've collected. After doing a couple of wagon restorations and many bikes I was planning on ratting this one out and along came this buildoff. Here is the starting point.

We did a little road trip today and stopped at a antique salvage yard. Wagons and wheelbarrows were abundant.

Also had bikes and trikes. Nothing real rare though except one 20's roached wagon.

WOW! I like to have a second wagon pan...
I've seen a couple on Google images where they cut the "front" few inches and then turned it up creating a firewall. Using that technique and parts from a second pan, I think I could fab a pretty cool T-Bucket...

A little Wagonator dilemma...I picked up this old Radio Flyer yesterday. Now I'm not sure which wagon I want to start with. I'm liking the patina on the RF, but the Sears pan is more structurally sound.

It may depend on which one lets me remove wheels from axles.

Well, thanks to a gift today; I'm in.
Just got a repop Roadmaster wagon given to me, now I just have to acquire some steel for the frame.

I'm test fitting the axle adapters to 5/8" wheels. I'll probably shorten the axle length a bit. I'll do some frame mockup next to figure out geometry. No scale drawings just a few drawings so far...using the KISS principle.

Quick mockup using what's on hand.

I think I'll notch the wagon to fit the contour of the tub, I have to narrow it 9 1/2" anyway.

I cut the bed rails up and worked on the wheel base and geometry this afternoon.

everything is fluid and experimental at this point. I need to do final trim and shaping on the rails. I might use the RF pan. Wheels/tires undecided.

Flip it and get a pic , like to get an idea of the leanght of that dragster!

I have no idea what Muttley just said, but two are obviously on the same wavelength!
Multi carb intakes on drag cars. Otherwise known as velocity stacks.
