Had a few gift cards and some cash so I went down to the local WM and payed a whopping $11 and some change for a Cranbrook. I really liked the color of the blue and the idea of not having to paint a frame appealed to me. Sorry guys..I don't prefer a rusty bike :p

Midway through the build, a fellow Ratrodder put up an add on CL that I couldn't refuse...

REALLY nice bikes, why not go totally Klunker with the second bike and throw the rear rim from the donor bike and a caliper brake on it?
You'd have a kind of a 'city mouse, country mouse' thing going on there.

I've got a soft spot for Huffys myself.

Cranbrooks are some good starting points. There is an outlet store in my town that sells them for $40.00 each. I've been tempted....and I still might!~ :D

Sorry for the long time responding, I've been out camping w/ my Boy Scouts. A little warm, but it finally cooled off to about 94 degrees at night so it was not totally intolerable
Thanks for the replies! I am agreeing w/ Loco Joe that I'm not so sure the shock fork is going to stay. I'm going to ride it for a while but I have a feeling that Thing2 is going to be changed soon :p
Love your Huffy Dr. Tankenstein! They're a nice foundation to build from plus I don't have to worry so much about their paint chipping quite so easily.
And as afar as "rust' goes, not my personal preference although I do like others that do it. 8)
