I think it would be cool to build a chopper bike like this. Not necessarily the style of the frame, but the long fork and how it's laid out :)

It can be done. Actually it has. Be aware that if you rake a frame that much, and stretch a fork that far you will need some fairly strong arms to keep the flop under control. Cool? Yes. Practical? Maybe, maybe not. Who am I to say.

I've had one with almost that much rake, and it snapped the neck, but it was rewelded and the neck broke. However, I think I have something I can use and get close to that much rake. I have a girls Schwinn that I think I can cut up and get close to that much rake out of

Lucas, do it! That is a very serious bike. That is a very serious attention grabber.
Forks are going to require some more than .065 mild steel.
Sometimes its not about practical :D this is one of those lol.

I had an old huffy twin bar with the neck raked almost exactly that much. Forks held up fine but the flop was ridiculous. Made it unridable unless you intend to only go in a straight line.
Yeah. This is exactly what I was talking about. In high school, a friend and me built a bike with that much rake and 8' long forks, it took almost a week before we could go more than 2 feet.
Do it, but it may take some time before you can actually ride it.

The one I had built at one point in time had 6' forks and it was a beast to turn, it had trouble. If I do one, the forks won't be over 6' long lol.
I'm throwing around ideas in my head, and drawing up a few things

Would not mind making one myself, but I would have to design some folding forks to get it inside the house...

Maybe there will be a "Stupidly long chopper build off" in the future sometime... Minimum 6 foot forks to enter?

Luke.

Like the idea
However, I'm sitting here thinking on it, and I do believe I can do a couple frame mods to a girls frame and get the right angles out of it

Here's what I've drew up. Girls frame with some bends thrown in. Now, I've thought of something that I didn't think of in the drawing till now. A third piece of pipe at the top above the top bar for extra support. Mind you, this is just a rough idea. Feel free to add to it :D

I tried something similar to my drawing, this is what I got..

Don't want too much rake, and I think this would be enough
