I found this saddle that I used on Southern Flyer at a thrift store on the day before I started the build. It was a whopping $1.

Revamping this thread, I think its pretty neat, and I feel some of the best stuff is off the beaten track, in the corners of our favorite little shops and among the rare plot of grass around our local yard sales.

Lots of good CL and Bay finds, how about elsewhere? Lets see those Local Found Gems!

i found some20" tires & a set of 20" hollow hub wheel with pins fo axels that use pins to hold then on , i think they came off a kiddie bike trailer or stroller
i got them from my local DAV thrift store , they have lots of cheap girls bikes a good place for picking

You have a strong voice here, and a lot of neat ideas. It helps to know someone like you reads what I write.

Does anyone have experience using the "Automatic Chain Brush"? Theres a few on the Bay for like 20-30 bucks new.

I got a Bendix blue band kick back hub for $2 at the Restore. It is now on my Sears Tote Bike. I also got a set of 2.5 inch downhill knobbies at Goodwill that I have used on my winter bike. I am studding these tires for this winter and have one completed. Also picked up a few Parsons seats at various thrift shops.
