On my Firestone, I have Schwinn wheels. I'm not sure if they are S-7 though. Do I need Schwinn S-7 tires to fit on it :?: Right now I have Carlisle tires on it so I would guess no  I just want to know before I order tires  Here's what I am looking at http://www.amazon.com/26X1-75-ACTIO...2EYY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1286235054&sr=8-3 and http://www.amazon.com/26x1-3-45-571...1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288824094&sr=8-1-fkmr1
Which one would fit :?: This is kind of a stupid question, but I rather not waste my money on something that won't fit

You can tell if they are S7s by checking the tire size that is on them now. 26x1 3/4 are S7, if they are 26x1.75 or 2.125 then they are standard size. The rim will be stamped along the spoke holes with "SCHWINN S7" if that is indeed what they are.

Don't know if Carlisle made any 1 3/4" tires, are they marked? 1.75" is NOT interchangeable with 1 3/4".

Don't read unless you want to be confused further. :) I have read about and run across tires meant for a Schwinn S7 rim but marked 1.75. I can't recall the brand but there is one down at the bike coop right now. It reads Fits Scwhinn S7, 26" x 1.75"

That sounds about as oxy-moron as this

Carlisle did make tires for Schwinn rims. I would check for a stamp, although it might be hard with the red paint on it.

Thanks for all the help everyone  I think I will buy the Kenda's because if they don't fit on that bike, I will use it for my Firebolt :D First I gotta call my lbs for there price
