i switched some tires around the other nite. Modern 26" HD wheels from chuck. I took a set of 2.30 k-rad off one type of HD wheel, which I had them on for a little while now. Replaced them with something else. Removed the tires from a different style HD wheel put the k-rads on there. Front one went fine. When inflating the rear, the bead came unseated tube pushed out and it exploded. Ok I thought maybe I messed up and had the tube pinched. The tube was really thin, maybe it was that. Put in a new tube. It inflated fully but then I heard some creaking and the same thing happened. I looked at the wheel and bead. They looked fine. I'm stubborn, what the heck... Try again. This time it lasted almost a week but did the same thing today. I've never had this problem. Are the 2.3 too wide? Did the bead get damaged after the first mishap? I bought the tires new last year, and don't use anything to pry them on or off.

Sounds strange , try a litter soapie water & over inflate the tire by about 10lb or so . sometimes it will make a pop and set the beed if it doses then set to proper pressure . Not sure this is your fix but worth a shot .

This can happen with a tube that does not have a big enough cross section diameter, un-inflated . Some of these " fits all " inner tubes that are marketed to fit large tires are only the size of a sausage. When inflated, they do not apply the pressure needed directly at the rim bead. And, there are some cross-sectional differences of rim profiles that work better with some tires than others.
