OK, with everything stripped down on the Huffy I picked up I guess it is time to decide on what goes back on the bike and what gets replaced. How have some of you decided what and when it gets replaced? Do you decide as you go along? Or, do you need to have a plan thought out before the process begins?
The tires were replaced with very aggressive thread. My idea of a smooth street tire for this bike would be white walls.
The rims were painted with a silver paint and are not in good shape at all. I would like to replace the wheels with new, possibally with a three speed hub and wheel set like this one (Link). Any other recommendations?
The saddle while interesting looking does not provide any comfort. So that is another item.
The handle bar was also painted. I do not know if the original was chrome?
Fenders are rusted badly. I guess I could assemble the bike without for now and see if that is something I want to visit in the future.
Here is a picture again.
