A lot of you know I was looking fro a girls 24" for my wife at the show... well I picked up this Murray super cheap off CL today. I'm kinda confused as to teh year, so maybe you guys can help me ID it!

serial number on head tube reads : M00 005951 , heres some pics.. TIA!!

Thanks, Looks like the same crank too......but they used that on a few hundred different bikes. I honestly don't have a clue on the year, I think late 80's early 90's

after looking it over it seems to be made like any other murray frame set , and its just the style down tubes she wanted so its a go! anyone got any 24" fat tire fenders that need paint? :mrgreen:

haha. Now that's funny.

I was just going to mention that one Stelber went down in price again. Sitting at $50 now. It's been on cl for a few weeks now and has been dropping $10 per week. It's got your fat tire fenders, wheels and whitewalls. You might be able to strip what you want, throw those other wheels and tires on there and still turn around and sell the Stelber for $30-40. :mrgreen:

I saw that too, but I really only need the fenders now, already rounded up everything else. and shes hinting at chrome ones now, so I may just get some re-pops for $20 ...

The ol' lady strikes again.....lol. Yeah I lost my best seat the same way. But oh well it's comfy and it gets her to actually ride so it's worth it.

These Murray usually have a date sticker on the seat tube, right above where it connects to the BB. Looks like the decals are intact under the spray paint, you might be able to expose it w/some fine steel wool. -Adam

well, I checked and that head badge is the only decal left on it... :roll:
