Well got postponed a day so getting it tomorrow hopefully. It's definitely an awesome project.

Good things come to those who wait?

Got my fingers crossed for you.

I spent three months trying to make a deal with a San Fran guy over CL before I threw in the towel. About three months after that he contacted me out of the blue and accepted my 'final offer'. Done deal...long and frustrating...but done deal none the less.

@RustyGold It paid off!!! I finally just laid it out. Lady was asking $100. I offered $150 if she'd deliver it. After yesterday getting stood up I made an offer to really get her attention and said if she delivered it to me I'd pay double!

So here's my $200 project!

11 years later I finally own a mini twin!

Woohoo!

Sweet muscle bike project!
Thanks! I can't wait to tear into this neglected beast. Already ordered a set of date code correct 1968 cranks for it. Does anyone know if a full size chain guard will fit the mini twin?

On my lunch break I stopped and looked at the bikes a local pawn shop had to offer... Few overpriced 70's Schwinn road bikes and a bunch of Walmart bikes but nothing special. Turned around to leave and saw these right by the door to the bike room. $20 later I own them and he threw in the tires free! One says Schwinn on the whitewall so that will be going with another I've got and going on the red Schwinn American that I've got. Someone has either ridden these wheels with no tires or flat tires so the edge needs a bit of cleaning up but they look salvageable just run a file across the edges.

Thinking of putting them on this parts bike I picked up for $10 this morning at the scrapyard and go single speed racer on this one.

So I stopped at the pawn shop again today and grabbed this one for parts. I got it for $35 just to use for parts and take it off the streets for good. Huffy beach cruiser that was "taken off some sweet jumps" seat tube collapsed. I didn't take pictures before I just tore it down for parts. I'm definitely going to find a way to dismount the rack and use it on something else.

I was sitting in my shop not buying any bikes and a friend stopped by my storage unit and unloaded this on me. Diamondback Viper I'll get better pictures when I have time. For $10 what the heck throw it in the pile.

Went up to Andrews today (an hour each way) and picked up this awesome Schwinn Twinn tandem 5 speed bike for $100. Guy said he bought it out of Chicago 10 years ago with intentions of fixing it up but never did anything with it. I am going to restore it alongside my Mini Twinn in the same color and same style. This one came with all the goodies too... Generator, taillight, speedometer, drum brake rear hub, and the only things I see missing are the chain guard, headbadge, and it needs tires. So after grabbing that deal it was getting about lunch time and passing back through Marion we decided to try out a local bar and grille, "Don's Tap" had the all you can eat fish and fries. Mmmmmm so good.

Ok maybe I have a problem... But it's a good problem to have. I bought my third tandem project. Schwinn Twinn 2 speed! Picked this up off of marketplace for $100 and met up with a fellow rat rod biker.

So on the way back from getting tandem number 3 we decided to stop by goodwill and look around. I spotted this one and even though I'm nearly tapped out for both cash and space I just couldn't say no to a deal.

$14.99+tax then they have a round up program that benefits their local school for adults which I graduated from so I always round up when I can. Anyway...

Huffy Wild Rose in great condition. I think I can modify the seat to work on the front of the mini twin, the tires are old-school Carlisle white walls and in good shape so I might use them on the mini twin, the apes look great so I'll probably use them on the rear of the mini twin, the rest who knows might make it a wall hanger.

You know that moment someone knows you're a bicycle guy and says hey I've got a few old bikes you can have and you get there only to see a Walmart bike with dry-rotted tires and it just contributes parts to your pile and junk to your dwindling storage space? This is NOT one of those days.

Killer score on that Western Flyer Super!!!! (CWC built). Looks like it might still have the rack turn signals too.

Any info on it? I'm thinking around late 1940's?
