Ok just in case anybody was curious. I ran to the steel place today. Bought one 20' piece of 1 1/2'' 16 ga
One 20' piece of 1'' tubing 16ga and a 20' piece of 5/8'' tubing. They cut them in half for free.....$42.
Its enough tubing to scratch build two frames. So minus the wire and expendables the cost is $21 a frame.

Really the stuff is pretty cheap around here. I found a couple years ago if you set up an account
with them then the price is cheaper than just walking in off the street. Not sure what discount
they give me ,but its some. If you build just one its not really a big deal. If you get hooked then
it adds up.

Lets see hire me for 4 days at 8 hours a day for $20ish bucks , would be a heck of a deal.
Man $5 a day , I would be rich!

I'll send you some $ and pick me up some and ship it to me! 16' of 1 1/4" & 16' of 3/4"(or 1 1/2" & 7/8") are about $50 here. We only have 1 steel shop in town so I don't have much for choices. Oh well. Still cheaper than buying a frame, bars, and forks. Plus I get to keep my hands busy and that way I stay out of trouble.

I have two within a couple miles. One is a little more expensive ,but has a better selection
and the other is cheaper , but only carries 16ga in all of it. I wanted 3/4'' but they only had
5/8 so I settled for that. I would use that for the cantilever tubes, if I do a scratch built Schwinn
type. That 16 gauge welds better but the 1 1/2'' takes some doing in my roller bender. It likes 18ga
better. I'm thinking a Schwinn type, but with the around the rear wheel seatpost and 1 1/2 '' tubing.
Maybe lower on the down tube.

I just picked up 20 ft of 1 1/2" 065 and 20 ft of 1" 065 for $47.00 but it cost me $15.00 in gas to go get it......I need a truck with a v6 hahaha 8) 8)

That is in the same range ,I paid $5 less and I got an extra 20' of 5/8...which was probably cheap.
So we are all ready to build some stuff to put our new Electra parts on.
