Freebie laying in a junk pile in front of a big fancy house. It's a 24" bike that will be the parts bike for the Union cycle company LTD. Savoy above.

cool finds. that union looks to be a hot mess in its current shape, so it looks like you'll have your work cut out for you there. cute trike and we all like a free murray.
The Union frame is in pretty nice shape, just needs to be sandblasted, maybe. The front forks are bent back, but I can fix that. Also the forks are rusted solid and won't move. My biggest concern right now is the small bearing size of the bottom bracket. I don't have anything that small in my stash. I've considered cutting it out, and replacing it with one of a more common size, but that's a last resort. I won't do anything with it for awhile though, as I have a few more in front of it. I will start spraying everything down with a penetrating oil though, it will make disassembly easier. The free Murray just proves that we have become a throw away society. "oh honey, you have a flat tire. Lets through that piece of crap away, and go buy you a new one" That bike has to be every part of a $100.00 bill even at Walmart. The only thing I see wrong with it, is a flat tire.

so you say the bottom bracket looks a bit small on that union. wonder if a cottered or cotterless 3piece crankset would be able to fit in that union's bb shell. as for the murray, your right about it being a throw away world. at least for us, people like us can get these bikes with not much wrong with them, if anything at all, for nothing or next to nothing, if nothing more than parts at least. latley i've come up on so many pacific mountain bikes (or at least pac cycle co made bikes) that im practically tripping over the things.
