Well, it's done.
Briefly: After abandoning my original plan to make a stretched/raked '51 DX, I swapped to my '62 Typhoon frame, and built it into a really nice strandie/klunk with 27.5er mags, and as many U.S. made components as I could manage.

I am getting errors too.
I started a thread on it and tagged Steve.

No issues viewing it here. Dig the retro-mod look of this! Custom leather work, design flow....

Looks like an all-day rider too!

Thanks! Yeah, if I was going to just cruise around town all day, this is pretty much the ride of choice. If I need to make miles, I have a vintage Raleigh Competition in a similar color scheme that would probably get the nod. The nice thing bout that four-pawl Hornet108 freewheel on here is that I don't need a bell. All I need to do is coast, and they can hear me coming.

I know what you mean Dave... Santa Cruz 'rattlesnake alert'...

I scored a "new" set of wheels for it that I'll swap out next week. Phil Wood hubs, HED 650B hoops and Rivendell/Panaracer tires. In the meantime, thanks to all who dropped a vote for this bike.

Your builds always have a heavy dose of "coolness" to them that I really like.
Thanks. I try to go in with an idea, and some sort of plan, and I do my best to respect the bike and its history, if that makes any sense. I also like to try doing things a little differently than everyone else. If that translates into cool, then that's cool by me. :cool2:
