i got these yesterday. any idea what this canti frame mite be?
all the badges are painted over, so i cant read 'em. the headtube one was a decal not a real badge.
the only things not painted over are the fork decals. maybe that'll clue someone in, also the tabs on the drop outs for the fender or rack are oddly shaped.
my uneducated guess would be a '70 to '76 roadmaster or AMF....anyone else put me in the rite direction?

The red middleweight frame is definately an AMF frame, I would guess a bit earlier than you noted, perhaps mid sixties to early seventies. The earliest Canti frames like this did not have a seat binder and used a self binding seat post. Later frames went back to a standard binder. The serial number should be on the non-drive side dropout and is likely a letter followed by 5 or 6 numbers. I believe the letter is a year code but I haven't collected enough of them to break down the code yet.

yep, the red one is an AMF Roadmaster, made in Arkansas, and judging by the sprocket, it's mid 60's when they were still a good bike. Later they went to Illinois, and things went downhill.
