Update on Ex-Huffy Camaro

It's finally done (except firestone stickers). Took it out for the maiden cruise and it rode very well. I think the little ladie will be happy with her valentines day present.

I also was fortunate enough to get the 62 American Deluxe of of Rusty513. Here's a little better picture.

the paint is satin lilac blue and royal blue.

the light on the schwinn is factory, the top has the S and an arrow embossed into it.

Ok, now it's done. Not sure if I'm too fond of the chainguard lettering, maybe I should put horizonal stripes along it like the 500 chainguard. Any suggestions?

it already looks great, but a stripe or two or a checkered flag pattern would look good. Where did you get the lettering? Is it vinyl?

Yeah, it's just vinyl from the local sign shop. I originally bought a kit to make waterslide decals, but had way too many problems with my printer's ink. That's what the black script was on the tanks.

my .01 i wouldnt stripe it just because itd look to lopsided with just the back done and the front would look off with the stripes going though the arch or following it(but as sgt schultz once said'i know nothing!')

You should bleach the grips and the seat
Maybe paint the seat pan black(underneath)

I can't believe this build is almost a year old now. I sold the white tires to Dingo a while back and recently scored these freebie Schwinn Typhoons from Rusty513. I actually like the all black tires just as much and it's ready for the little lady to put some more miles on it at the Halloween ride. It now has it's fair share of nics and scratches and rust, just more character if you ask me.
