Not a how to question, more like a what to and where to.

I just ordered some vinyl for my seat. I'm planning a white flake insert and black for the outer edge. Right now the plan is to have the insert done in a tuck and roll style. I need to know what kind of foam and backing I need. I also need to know what foam I should use to cover the pan for the padding.

Any suggestions and if you have an online source would help a lot!

I can't remember where I ordered the foam when I re-padded my car seat, but I just did a general search. The thinner the padding, the higher the density you'll need. If you figure out the thickness you want, you should be able to find recommendations for a density range (which will be pretty high).

I use the memory foam mattress covers in my saddles when I recover them. I grabbed a curb couch for the leather and it had a memory foam mattress cover sitting there. I wound up using that for a ton of stuff the leather and the foam.

I’ve used yoga mats before, they’re thin, dense, you can stack layers and it shaves/sands easy to create curves/forms, oh yeah, they’re pretty cheap too
