i built some choppers based on foldables when i was a teenager and tinkered with some more bikes until i was in my early twenties. all those bikes are long gone now but i recently (i'm 40 now) decided to get back in to some simple assembly.
this bike is a dutch 'gazelle' MTB frame. all the other parts come from an old ladies bicycle. i kept all the parts as i got them, just cleaned and lubed.
the frame has a vertical drop out so i had to fashion a chain tensioner from an old derailleur for the single blade. there's a three speed shimano hub.
i like its look as it is but might one day finish in red and black.
my next build is another mountainbike frame for which i'm building a springer fork from two ordinary forks again with parts donored by a ladies bicycle.
