just got done with another great show, big crowd some good leads and bought a few old bikes... instead of just stacking up old vintage bikes in your garage for no one to see and enjoy but yourself and some people on the web i set up at engine shows here in illinois you know the tractor / hit.miss type meet a lot of people get a bunch that stop by to look and reminisce about their old bicycle's they had. plus most have nice flea markets with goodies the wife and i both have vintage bikes we show ranging from 1920's to early 60's plus i kinda like the old tractors and stuff we do about 4 to 6 shows a year alternating bikes we take about a dozen or so each time plus a motor bike to get around the fair grounds just another way for me to share my passion for bikes with the public and bring back memories that may have been forgoten plus i almost always get invites to other happenings in my area from show visitors.....

I'm going to be participating in something like that on August 6th. A nearby town is having their "old home day celebration" the chairman of the historical society and avid cyclist has talked them into a a bike display. I'll be bringing 1/2 a dozed oldies, maybe a couple with price tags on them.

Got some nice bikes. I love the old hit and miss engins. I probably would have had to buy one.
Either that or sneak across the street and load up on some fresh corn.

Love the sounds of hit & miss & a John Deere 2 cylinder (Johnny Popper).
I saw my first decent old J.C. Higgins at a farm type show a few years back.
Don't forget the good food. Folks in Illinois know how to live, and we live longer, too.

That Elgin is really awesome....all your bikes are very nice.

It looks pretty green there....must not be in drought mode like we are down here.
