Walnut Hulls for Paint Stripping

Anyone tried using bulk walnut hulls for paint stripping on bikes? How well did they work?

you mean crushed walnut shells right? works good on removing paint but if your trying to cut rust youll need something meaner like glass. i use it on sheet metal parts (fenders/chainguards/racks) because most other blasting stuff (like glass) will pit the sheetmetal. I still havent found a good supplier for it that doesnt seem to cost an arm and a leg though.

just call over all yer high class buddies an tell em to bring the ale, youll supply the walnuts. shoot the bull for a couple hours and youll have a bag o crushed shells! 8)
