Yesterday we unveiled our bikes and rode them around New Haven, CT and took pictures ( viewtopic.php?f=5&t=64827 ). See my pictures below of both of our bikes. If you want to wait for Skip to post his pictures later today or tomorrow, that may be wise. Also Skip will describe his bike better than I can.
Skip's bike first: 1950-something J.C. Higgins Colorflow with Jetflo fenders....
awesome Safety star, and vintage East Haven bicycle plate (the town Skip lives in)
perfectly fitting LED flashlight in original fender light casing:
that's a really good looking ride:
winner?....

and here's Ian's bike: 1946-1/2 Monark Super Deluxe....
similar LED flashlight conversion as Skip, and a St. Christopher medal (Patron Saint of Safe Travel):
Skip made an aluminum filler plate for his bike, I made this louver "tank":
I chopped a hole in the rack and dropped it over the rear fender for a custom touch:
And here they are together. They actually got along well, I sensed no animosity:
Thanks everybody for looking and voting. cheers
