I try telling my wife that ALL the time, but she wont budge. She has two Masters, and is worried about finding a job. (yeah education does not teach common sence). I have a buddy that grew up in Texas and ended up here in Illinois somehow, and people cannot understand why he is suffering from depression.

Aghhh...that's nice. Hurts to look at, but looks so nice... Thanks for sharing.

Everything here is a soupy, muddy, salty, dirty, cold mess. Not ideal cruiser weather.

scoreboard texas
always nice weather

...in the summertime, not so much, unless you like sweat, humidity, mosquitos, and automotive exhaust...but that could just be Houston, I've never been to Magnolia outside of the Renaissance Festival, which was always a great time, and yes, the weather was great.
.
How did you get that bluish tint on the fenders? That looks really nice.

i think the bluish tint is the reflection of the clear blue sky he is rubbing in our faces.

I also lived in New Braunfels, which is considered part of the Texas "hill country" and it made a HUGE difference getting away from the Gulf of Mexico. Ahhh, memories. I'm much further north now and will be lucky if gets up to double digits today.

As far as the optical illusion of the tinted fenders, I wonder if something like that would be possible, either by mixing reflective and colored paint or gluing colored saran wrap (the used to make it, don't know about now) over the top and then hitting it with some sealant. The colored reflection in the fourth picture really does tie everything together in an attractive and novel way. I guess you can always just ride on sunny days, in which case the only thing better than Texas will be the desert states.

a friend of mine used this "metal" spray bomb. cap looked like colored chrome. blue, green, ect. he sprayed his chrome fenders with it. 3 coats on them and they looked as if they were glowing. tryed it again with more coats and it didn't look as good. key is less to have the shine show trough.

is was like a crazy blue candy coat. you could do it with tinted clear from a gun.

upper class is right just mix your color and clear about 50-50 in the pot (just like blending clear) and youre good to go.
if youre going to be doing it rattle can itll be harder.....unless maybe firewalker has used the hok 3 stage in rattle can so maybe hes got some tips
