I am in the process of collecting parts for a new build. As I always, I seem to start from a frame instead of a whole bike. Brad(floridafavson) braved snowing interstates to deliver this frame- Cool old Elgin

I always am short wheels, so I called up a local collector(easywind) . Going to his house and or storage unit is like going to the candy store. He has everything. Nice examples of some rare bikes and any part you would need. I picked up these cool set of Skiptooth wheels for the Elgin. Hard to tell from the pic but they are light grey with a black pinstripe. The other set is just something extra. The seat will be recovered for the Elgin.

Thanks. I had to have the frame because it was so curvy. Even the joints are cool. I am going "shopping" at the Bike coop Monday. I have a MTB (free on CL) that I fixed up to work out a trade. They have some cool forks, truss rod and others stuff.

a sweet frame to start off with. isn't that the fun of just starting off with a frame? piecing it together one piece at a time and watching it all come together. i love it, but still like finding the diamonds in the rough too. heres to a sweet build. :mrgreen:

Very cool that you live close to the infamous Eazywind too. Saw he joined the forum a couple of days ago.

Now if we could just get him to give Rat Rod members an Ebay discount. :wink:

Yeah, it took 5 hours to drive there which usually only takes 2 1/2 hours. I wish I had more time to hang out but I was trying to catch the comedian Ralphie May at the Knitting Factory. I only got to see about 25 minutes of his show but it was worth the drive. Also, noticed that Boise as alot of cool bikes in the downtown area.
