I've wanted this Bike for ever and Now I Have it!!! It Was The Ol G-Mas Bike that hung up in the shed for a really long time the ID# is A42142 540...Can Anyone tell me the round about year??

Pictures are really need for ID as the serial number usually does not have the model.

Sounds like it could be a 1954 Cleveland Welding bike . Look closer and I'll bet that last "0" is actually a letter C with a small w inside

Dogdart Yes It Does have the C and the W in it I Wasnt sure if it was a 0 or a C..But yes ur are right.. So it s a 54? Is It Worth doing anything with? It Rides and everything..I Started sanding the front fender and its been painted about 4-5 times..Anyone know where I Can see an original Photo of what the Bike used to look like? Should I Just Rat the bike out or go original?
