I need to either fix this fork, it appears to have a slight case of BFD, or..... change it completely. I'm not sure if I fix it, that I'll like it enough. ...

so if you were going to put a different fork on this bike, what fork would you pick? suggestions please....

Schwinn springer painted frame color.
Or maybe a Felt Abraham Linkage, it would go well with the tube size on the frame. Assuming you can run 1 1/8 fork on it.

This bike is one of my ongoing 'inspiration' bikes. Feel free to send the old fork and truss rods to me.

Cheers!

KOTA,
Did you bend those with a conduit bender? How difficult is it to get the same bend on each leg?
I saw your older post about it, still thinking of doing one for the Auction Rat build

Cheers!

Larry - hahahahaha!!! you are crazy.

Dr. T - thanks, and pictures of what you're suggesting? oh, and I don't think I want to go 1-1/8".

Skip suggested a rat trap I think. That's a possibility.

Rick - seriously? I might take you up on that. Or Skip and I might try putting it in one of the mold presses here at work in between tool changes and give it a tweak.

another option after fixing them is to maybe drill a hole farther up the blade part of the fork to get the tire up closer to the bike. might improve the stance and make me like it more.

it's a sweet fork, just not sure it's right for this bike. never have been from when I first finished the build.

I think that one on the right is a Girvin Pro-Flex... people try to get a lot of $$$ for them for their '90s MTB nostalgia factor, but quickly re-sell them after they try them off-road. On the street, on a cruiser, they're pretty nice. If you look around, you should be able to find a disenchanted rider selling one for $40-$50. I saw the whole Pro-Flex frame and fork on local Craigslist last month for $80 and didn't jump on it.
