It was a little over 5 yrs ago I started this thread. Today I was cruising with a club I belong to, the Chicago Taildraggers.

The straight bars on the Bianchi Milano Cafe Racer Nexus8 were too uncomfortable for me. So I continued down the road of making it more of a cruiser with some replica crossbars and a Ruff saddle.

Then I went on a brief night shakedown ride to the park.

Since finishing the resurrection of a bike for a friend I've been back on my dirt jumper on pump tracks. The break I took to focus on my friend's bike really paid off. I seem to have jumped a couple levels in my progression.🤓

While bent over, hands on knees trying to catch my breath between laps the other day I noticed the breeze made it look like my head was on fire!🔥😂😂

Then yesterday I rode the track at Anthem Park in Broomfield, CO for the first time. Super pumpy, jumpy & bermy!! Was completely enamored with the place after burning many calories & 3 hours riding...:inlove:

I was starving afterward so I strapped some tunes to my Elgin to ride to Marcos for hot dogs...

Only to be reminded it was Sunday. Marcos is closed on Sunday.🤦‍♂️ So I cruised around for a while. Long's Peak in the distance....

When I got home my neighbor dropped off a pile of leftovers from her Son's graduation party! Nom, nom, nom, nom....🤓

I took a break from building and went for a quick ride on the Orange Crusher. My street is like a bowl, high on both ends, low in the middle. If you get going fast enough it's easier to climb back up the other way. I usually have chickens to dodge, but only 1 cat today.

The theme for Bike Night was "80's" last night with 113 riders! I didn't think soon enough to do an analog age progression of myself in my 80's so wore a Van Halen t-shirt & Vans while riding my 85 year old Shelby made Western Flyer.IMG_20230531_192412471.jpg

Afternoon thunderstorms cleared before the ride for a cool evening and nice break in the middle of the week. 🤓 A great way to relax, energize & finish the week.
