Winter beater getting in lots of miles. So far little to no snow here in Detroit

Oh no! Now I want to modify my beater bike. I’m putting the fenders back on in honor of the recent record-breaking California rain.

Edit… But I don’t want to jinx things here. We don’t need another drought! I think I’ll fix the kickstand on my aluminum bike.

I took the Marinoni on the first real ride today (26 miles). It's great. Rides like a race bike. Give it the beans and it goes. I'm very glad I saved it.

I sprayed a Zefel pump to match the frame:

I took out Chrome Molly after changing it up again. Now just a freewheel single speed, but with sealed bearings. Perfect weather at about 77 deg this morning. The 47/20 ratio is just right for me, but there's still no hope in climbing the hill to get back home. The bike helps as I can stop and lean on it halfway up for 5 minute rest, then continue walking it home. The foot straps have to go, my big feet will probably get caught in one.

Some of the streets are off limits to vehicles, they slide if the road is wet, or can't make it up the hill.

Took Shoestring with me down to Arlington, Texas to ride this week. I'm house and pet-sitting for my brother and my new sister-in-law while they're on their honeymoon, so this is a great way for me to burn off the calories i got from all that food at the wedding and rehearsal dinner! I just rode around the neighborhood trails today, but I had an absolute blast! Every time I ride this bike, I love it more and more! It still needs a little more work done on the brakes, but man does this bike pedal nicely! I kept thinking I was riding too far and I was going to wear myself out on the way back to the house, but nope! I just kept on riding until I was ready for lunch.

Side note: any DFW locals here know any cool bike shops, trails or other neat places to check out while I'm over here? I'm not down in Texas very often, so it'd be cool to see what all is around here while I'm here.

Went out for a ride last night.

Revisited that dead end country road this morning,
Took Great Scott for a blast, ive given him new grips and spent $100 for 2 new 700/23 tyre's, it went fantastic and I stole the clip on extensions from an old downhill MTB I had hanging up, I prefer these as opposed to full on drop bars of which from cycling days 30yrs ago I never liked being hunched over and gasping for air. So these are fantastic, can still hunker down and power away with a widish grip.
In any case it runs great.

Trying to get more km's on the F6, took it for a whirl down to the local skate ramp! was nice! getting more adventurous as in riding off the side of the country roads instead of the bitumen! she soaks up undulations and bumps real nice, if i stand up and soak up the bumps even more it really does feel like im riding my old XR250, with those custom bars it just feels big strong and can go anywhere off road, and that beautiful 2 stoke smell....Ohhhh how ive missed it. this bikes starting to give me a thirst for an off road toy motorcross bike!....uh oh...honey..its happening again!

Took my recently acquired 1960 Schwinn Corvette for a spin yesterday. All I have done to this bike so far is replace the front wheel with one I had already, new tubes and tires, replace a couple of missing seat pan nuts, and adjust the shift mechanism. Once we get some nice spring weather, I will shine it up and grease whatever needs it (among other things, the front hub is making noise). Pretty nice little rider.

Earlier this week, I drove 2.5 hours round trip to get this Electra Delivery/Courier 3i. Put a little air in the tires and went out for a ride.
