We got 26 miles in. Then I ate half of a pizza.

I had to test ride these after i got them cleaned up.

Those very short crank arms are killers. Add the big ring on the All Pro and I need a push start.

I forgot that you're down under, do you run the brake levers opposite sides like the British so, rear brake on the left? As far as the cables are concerned, it looks like originally they were routed in front and under the bar, as opposed to over and behind, as yours is. If it isn't binding up or interfering with performance, then it's just a look thing and it doesn't matter, but you wouldn't want to be on a trail in a serious situation when you find out it's a problem.
Looks like the whole handle bar needs rotating around so the bottom of the drop bar should be more horizontal than pointing down and those brake cables definitely need rerouting under the bars, it just looks so ill fitting to me but I am OCD about cables, they have to have a nice radius curve and intersecting lines have to visually look good and flow well, it's a fine line between form and function, you could have a beautiful machine but if those cables are jacked they will throw the whole bike off, with me it's measure 4 times and once more and cut once

As I was I'm on the campground today, those two got some road time today.
Tha Capitan Terror even got some quality time on the pump track and a short detour through a forrest trail... (see cockpit shots later on, when the videos are done)
Here's the Capitan at the lake

I had planned to spend the day in the garage deep cleaning, polish & protect everything for a new build but since the weather was supposed to be the best of the weekend I decided to get the last laps of the year on my Commencal Absolut at the place where my journey to pump track fun began earlier this year.:inlove:

I did manage to get some parts prep done in the morning but had to take advantage of great weather & get the heart rate/respiration/dopamine levels up!🤓 With luck & a lot of work, I'll be able to take the new ride for a shakedown run tomorrow......👍

Happy New Year!!! I blew the cobwebs out this this morning.............................then I was out on the latest free donation to me, the blue Schwinn I recently went through and refurbished...........

For the first (protest) ride of the year 7 members of the RespectCyclists group of Berlin joined a protest ride in Potsdam. All in all I put my first 53,5 km for this year on the clock.

Our ride entering the Autobahn in Potsdam.

We were riding there on the right most lane protected by the police cars in front and back in the middle lane. The cars all had to slow down and we're forced on the left lane. 👍

Right, and with a 39 chainwheel and 22 cog, the two speed is a lazy man's dream. The gear inches are 47 and 65, like first and second gears on a 3 speed bike.
