I have one wheel that is 20 X 1.5 and one that is another size (I can't remember what size it is at the moment) are the tires size specific? can I put 20 X 1.5 on anything or is it picky about what goes on
I'm sorry if this has been asked before

There are different 20"sizes.

Most 20" wheels are the standard 20 x 1.75 and will be the kind that will have the most section of tires to choose from. They are listed in decimal form, 26 x 1.50, 26 x 1.75 and 26 x 2.125 for example. All those will go on the same wheel, it's the ones using fractions 20 x 1 3/8 and Schwinn S-5 and S-7 that are slightly larger in diameter so only those tires will work. There's a lot less tires to choose from in those sizes.

So if you have 20 x 1.50 now, you can use a wider tire like 20 x 2.125 as long as there is clearance on your bike.

We really need a sticky thread in each forum explaining tire sizes. No offense to the OP, but this is asked so often, we've all been there and I'm just happy we have a forum where nobody flames somebody for asking this.
