i got those by chance on a bike i bought( just because the slicky g's were in white wall).... really think those bars look good ... im all ears to suggestions :|
it's actually not uncomfortable ive been trying every thing.... as i said on another posting ive always been one to sacrifice comfort for looks.... im really just asking what would look better not "whats more comfortable" :| 8)
I see this is a little old now, but what have you come up with?
IMHO, with all those curvy lines you need a bar with curves. And with the seat down like that the grips probably need to be out to the sides to keep you on. I like the looks of the boardtrack bikes, so inverted 'somethings' get that.....maybe a set of lowrise with a 5-10 deg. backsweep mounted inverted?
Your stem looks like the standard 1" swell bicycle bar, the bolt down are 7/8" motorcycle (maybe BMX too) type, more expensive but I think tougher. I have that kind on my GT Dyno Duece (1 1/8 threadless ), and sometimes wish it was like yours, and fit it with a roadbike stem to reach out more horizontal.
Apes look good, and so do the BMX bars. Do NOT flip any handlebars upside down PLEASE. I just don't get why people do that. I keep seeing these beautiful done bikes, and then it is ruined as soon as someone puts the bars on wrong. To me it's like having the forks on backwards.
