What should I do with this hub?

This is a kid's trike's hub. As you can see the bearings are exposed. The same holds true for all 4 of the bearing hubs on the trike. Was it sealed with like a rubber lip when it was new, or has it always been loose? Should I leave it as-is? Squirt some grease in there that will probably leak out? Or does anyone know of a rubber seal for them?

looks like a simple flanged bearing, the sealed cartridge bearing's poor relation...

if it's not all wobbly just shooting in some grease will certainly be fine for tricycle use. :wink:

I would try to clean it out..soak it with WD or PB blaster... then stick it in the oven for a bit... then pack some heavy grease into it... trick is to not burn your hands..
