What size and model is this raleigh?

Okay I got this maybe a week ago from my grandfather. I procured it to make it into a single speed / fixie, as I need a ride to work until I can afford insurance. My questions are of course year, model, and size. It is a Japanese made. It had suntour parts. Shifters on top tube. It was in very sad shape nothing moved etc. I have put 4 or 5 hours into it at its current state. I plan on a repaint to a custom color. I also plan to obtain a set of 700c wheels, and upgrade bb and crank set. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the poor images.

Some alloy wheels would help the ride, bet 700s would fit!

Haha yeah I've never seen another like it this size, Raleigh or non raleigh for that matter. I'm about 5'7 so I literally have to hop on. I like it though so I plan to finish it up eventually. Soon but not now. If anyone may be interested I could do a build thread. It would be my first.
