Hey fellow RRBers,

I'm about to install a Nexus 7 coaster and wondered if, like the 3 speeds, do I need any of the colored 'non-turn' washers?

If so, what color? Do I need them on one side or both? The frame is a 1950 Monark with front facing dropouts.

HELP! This is the last big hurdle in getting this bike built for the Mrs.

Cheers,
Dr. T

Don't think I run them on any of my 7 speeds , but the way to tell is look at the coaster arm
side and if the axle has flats on two sides then its made to run one. Then it depends on what
frame you have as to which way the slot is oriented. I think the yellow is the most common.
If you need one its just on one side.

Probably yellow and brown.

grind the tabs off and then just tighten it down real good to have the teeth bite into the frame and you are done.

+1^. Too much over engineering on a washer. The washers are to keep the axle from turning. Isn't that what the brake arm on a coaster hub has done for 100 yrs.? Gary
