What's the name of that 2 speed crank kit that mounts on the crank and gives you 2 gears? i think it was a 50s or early 60s gizmo

In the 1970's, my brother got a 3-speed thingy that replaced the front sprocket on his bike. Someone used one on one of the bike buildoffs here, I believe. It had a small front front sprocket and big round case with the gears in it.
 
I remember somebody had one- thought it was ponytailmike. I think it is called a 2 speed Dyno crank.

Edit;; Found it 3 spd Dana transmission. Not what you are looking for but cool

cman - that's it! (thought it was 2 speed) A friend of mine found a bike with one on it. he's trying to deal on it today.
