i have a rusty 64 sears spaceliner. i was thinkin of painting it. the frame would be glossy black, and the fenders red, with ape hanger handle bars and headlight. Rear spaceliner rack would be red and black, and it would have chrome rims with white wall tires. What do ya think?

Spaceliners wear ape hangers quite well in my opinion.

Go for it - Paint is easy enough to change if the results aren't to your liking.

is the chrome that bad? there is something about those with the chrome frames that is very cool. just my 2 cents and remember you will have to rough up the chrome good before you paint it if ya decide to go that route
i am not an expert on them but i believe i have seen metalic blue ones before mostly women's frames. but most were chrome and lots of it in my opinion one of the most spacerace looking bikes produced other than the bowden spaceliner.
