Ok so I took my swiss cheese rim and filled in the extra holes I drilled. I used some stuff by 3m called
liquid steel. It turned out to be some tough stuff. I taped the inside of the rim and squirted
the stuff in from the back. Then I wet sanded the inside and the rim. Turned out really good.
I painted the rim an anodized bronze. Was going to do a red or something flashy, but I already
have the fat franks and they don't go with just any color. Plus you never know what color you
will paint a bike and rim color can be critical...yeah right...I already had a couple cans of this
color. I found some stainless 104 spokes that were the perfect length for a cross 4. So if you
have an alloy rim with a bunch of holes it can be saved. Now I have a 3'' wide 26'' rim laced to
a nexus 3 speed and very little money in the whole setup. Ordered a 32 front hub on ebay
to keep from drilling the front....ordered this morning and the guy already shipped.$12 shipped
Like that beer commercial ...it just doesn't get any better than this.
