My bike shop is in my basement. My basement isn't big, it's only under about half the house. But it looks like I've working in a similar amount of space as a lot of you guys. I try to keep it organized, but it isn't my strong suit. There's enough stuff down there that it makes it hard to make heads or tails of the pictures...I have enough room to keep a few bikes down there, but most of the overflow is out in the loft of my garage.
